This morning we changed it up and went to the creek to play for a little while before lunch. Love this little sandy beach spot, cool creek water and “rock house.”

We had a great weekend with my aunt and uncle over the weekend. On Saturday morning we headed up to Covert farms to pick some strawberries, it was the last of the early season so there wasn’t a lot of berries left. The place is beautiful though and everyone enjoyed picking and snacking.
Such a spectacular view over Osoyoos from Anarchist. After spending some time at the car show in Osoyoos, we stopped at the bakery for a treat and then headed up the mountain to enjoy the view. Having such a great time with Hannah. She’s such a kind, caring, thoughtful and generous friend. So grateful for […]
Around every corner there are people painting, some are chatting and others are in the kitchen baking. This is a happy place. Abilities are celebrated and people have goals and focus. The Painted Chair is unlike any other shop that I’ve been to. There’s a part of me that hesitates even sharing about this special […]
Tomorrow, Friday May 1st, is opening day for Eastside Corner store here in Oliver (Park Drive). I think it’s safe to say that this little town is pretty excited!! Eastside is a beloved little establishment in Oliver, a place where people meet for ice cream and kids excitedly buy their favourite candies. I’ll always have […]
An hour spent at the lake attempting to fish was the perfect after dinner activity. The sun was shining and it was warm and beautiful, loving these family moments. Sarah had Beaver Scouts this evening, so she was ready to go in her hat and vest. No one caught a fish, but everyone was excited […]
This happened this afternoon… April 20…25 degrees. Sure, the water was cold still but the sand and air were hot. What a perfect way to spend an afternoon! So thankful that we get to live in such a beautiful place, a private lake before the campers arrive is also pretty awesome!
Sarah wasn’t able to go to her friend Taya’s birthday party since we had to go to Vancouver for another appointment, so I decided to take the girls horse back riding instead. The staff at D Bar K Ranch here in Oliver were wonderful. Ken taught the girls about how to be near horses, how […]
We had such a great Thanksgiving weekend this year! I’ve learned that I much prefer having company come to us for several days of quality time versus racing around to a bunch of different gatherings. This was definitely one of my most memorable and enjoyable Thanksgiving’s yet. My mom and Gord came up for the […]
On Friday afternoon I took the kids to the local pumpkin patch to pick up a few pumpkins to have in the house for Thanksgiving. We’re used to the lovely destination pumpkin patches that have the nicely groomed patch, petting zoo, hay ride, playground area, etc. Well, there just isn’t anything like that here in […]
