On Friday afternoon I took the kids to the local pumpkin patch to pick up a few pumpkins to have in the house for Thanksgiving. We’re used to the lovely destination pumpkin patches that have the nicely groomed patch, petting zoo, hay ride, playground area, etc. Well, there just isn’t anything like that here in Oliver, oh well. This place is friendly and cheap (15 cents/ pound, making a good size pumpkin about $2). The kids and I had fun walking around looking for pumpkins. The kids enjoyed the overgrown weeds and pretended that they were exploring (much more fun than the perfect patches apparently). I love pumpkins!
