A few days ago Sarah discovered a few leaves of lettuce in a dirt patch by our house and what was once a little garden. So yesterday we had a “girls adventure” and went to the local Riverside Greenhouse in Oliver to get some vegetable plants to plant a new little garden. The girls were super excited and put on their matching strawberry dresses from Grandma Saysomsack. We planted tomatoes, zucchini, squash, cantaloupe and watermelons. We’ll see what actually grows, considering that we planted late and don’t really know anything about growing melons. It will be a fun little project for the kids and give them a little something else to do when we’re outside in the yard.
