Today we headed up to Mt. Baldy for a little adventure (about 35 km away). We were told that it was worth checking out for dead fall on the ground which would be good for fire wood. Mt. Baldy is actually a ski hill (no snow yet) at the top. It was a beautiful drive! We saw a little heard of about 8 elk crossing the road in front of us as we were driving. We stopped for a little snack picnic on our way down, which the kids thought was amazing. I love how kids can always seem to find wonder and joy in the littlest of things and experiences! We found a bit of wood, but mostly just enjoyed the day together. Calvin was “hunting” for animals in the trees, thankfully he didn’t come across any.
